We are excited about the opportunity to know your child and to teach them computer skills such as Power Point and Movie Editor, as well as audio and video equipment skills. Working in a television studio is a wonderful opportunity to spotlight and challenge students to gain independence in planning, writing, public speaking, producing, supervising and performing in television productions. Ten 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students were selected through an application and interview process in September to participate. These students train to become anchors, reporters, graphic editors, video mixers, cameramen, news editors, web editors, and teleprompter technicians. The team plans its broadcasts and practices on Wednesday and Friday mornings. News shows include information about local and Fox Road news, character education, special guests, book talks, lunch menus, weather reports, birthdays, and hallway traffic reports. Broadcasts are on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00-9:15 a.m. All classes tune in to watch and learn about the happenings at Fox Road. Our Fox Road News Crew includes: Huong R, Chariti J, Katy H, Trenyti T, Chandler W, Michael O, Rae'ven K, Allure W, Erica H, and Cynthia C.
