MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Fox Road Elementary School is to provide a safe, positive, welcoming environment designed to educate the whole child. All members of the school community are valued and respected. Fox Road students will be provided the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to address the myriad challenges of the future.
VISION STATEMENT
Working collaboratively, we will achieve the mission
of Fox Road Elementary School by:
- Setting high expectations for all students regardless of academic, cultural, or economic status;
- Implementing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate all learning styles;
Affirming and communicating student progress.
Our global school community will achieve our vision by making and fulfilling the following commitments:
- Align with and adhere to North Carolina Standard Course of Study and WCPSS Curriculum and Assessment tools;
- Provide parents with resources, information, and strategies to help their children be successful;
- Grow professionally according to students’ needs as determined by data analysis of academic achievement as well as consideration of cultural, economic, and social factors;
- Utilize character education to develop a community of good citizens;
- Create a professional environment that encourages flexibility and supports collaboration and risk taking;
- Utilize a variety of established and innovative instructional strategies to promote growth for all students;
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment which supports school staff both individually and professionally;
- Promote a notion of school community that includes school staff, students, parents, business partners, civic organizations, and the faith community.
